Hi there! I am Tim.
I have been captivated by taking things apart and figuring out how they work ever since I can remember. Tinkering with things and building stuff for myself followed not long after that.
Currently, my interests revolve around 3D printing, programming, anything mechanical or electrical engineering related, board games, photography, playing guitar and watching Formula 1. I have a habit of pursuing too many things at once, so by the time you read this list it is probably already outdated!
I find that the best projects to work on are the ones that are right out of my comfort zone. They force me to get creative and learn new things in order to solve the variety of new problems that come with them. I still haven’t found a better way to expand my knowledge and practical experience at the same time.
Why I started Clever Creations
I started this website with two goals in mind:
To have a place to share the stuff I design, build and am passionate about. My hope is that this gives readers (you!) new ideas and the confidence to experiment and build new things for themselves.
The second goal of this site is to teach others to repair their own stuff (gadgets, electronics, etc.). Nothing annoys me more than devices that have to be thrown out for relatively small issues. Oftentimes, fixing something is easy when you know the right steps and have the appropriate tools for the job. With the repair guides I share on this site, I hope to bridge that gap for the people who need it.
Needless to say, I am a big supporter of right to repair legislation that allows consumers to repair and modify their own devices. Our planet is getting quite full of trash and I believe that more people should step up and do something about it. This site is me attempting to do my part.
